The feature script “My Dad, Elvis” was funded by the German Film fund HessenFilm and considered for the German Film Award for Best Screenplay – Unproduced 2019.

The film is set in Bad Nauheim and Friedberg in Germany, two small towns which constantly fight about the fact, who is the real home of Elvis Presley. The story Andreas, a difficult guy who suffers from the feeling to be unloved. His father Klaus, has been hating him since he’s born. But when Andreas learns that his mother Heike had an affair with Elvis Presley and is since then still in love with the Rock Star, everything suddenly makes sense to him. Is Elvis my dad? With this question and his investigation of the past Andreas disturbs a family peace, which has lasted for decades and throws his parents into a serious marital crisis. Andreas breaks with his parents and flies on the wings of attention and admiration. As Elvis´ son everyone notices him and loves him. But when it is eventually proven that he is not Elvis´ biological son, Andreas has to face reality again. And he is forced to face his life´s main question again: what do I have to be worth to be loved?
